Script-IV™Script-IV™

Script-IV, a fourth generation programming language, uses structured, concise English-like commands that eliminate the need for software documentation at the coding level.

Included in the Dictionary-IV® and OPENworkshop® product set, Scrip-IV enables the developer to access the database and system dictionary, to perform many "housekeeping" tasks associated with programming. Some of these tasks include: editing and quick-compile facilities, debugging features, and error messages that combine to make the whole environment responsive and encourage incremental development. Scrip-IV also provides a seamless interface to the Thoroughbred Basic™ third generation language. Those developers who use Thoroughbred Basic as a development language can easily migrate to, or integrate their existing applications with Script-IV. The strength of Script-IV lies in the language's ability to control detail, while providing the flexibility to operate at all levels of programming.
