We have discovered a critical issue with the recent release of Version 8.8.3 Linux, AIX and SCO Environments. We have updated the system and are providing free updated versions for the following Linux/UNIX based Products:

• Thoroughbred Environment™ (Basic)
• OPENworkshop®
• Journaling/DataSafeguard™

The replacement instructions are:

First, you will need to visit the Thoroughbred Download site at: https://acctg.tbred.com/downloads to get your updated 8.8.3. Please have your your original order number and customer number available.

All Users should be out of their Basic sessions

• Put TSI_OW.tsi or TSI_ENV.tsi in directory where Basic is installed
• rm basic
• rm b
• Replace TSI_OW.tsi with TSI_ENV.tsi if environment instead of OPENworkshop.
• cpio -ivdumB ./install
• ln basic b

You will just need to re-install the Basic.

There will be no need to re-activate. You will need your Order number. If you do not have your Order number available, please contact either Kathy Kennedy or Loretta Kelly.

We recommend you update your systems as soon as possible.
